Opening night is always exciting in sports and entertainment.  All the work and preparation has to come together.  For Binghamton Senators hockey fans Opening Night for the 2016-17 season is this Saturday, October 15 when the B-Sens host the Hershey Bears at 7:05 at the Floyd L Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.

The teams have been long-time rivals.  For the Bears it will be their second game of the new season as they open in Rochester against the Americans on Friday night. Hershey is coming off of a Calder Cup Finalist season.  They fell to Lake Erie in four straight in the championship round.  The Bears are entering into their twelfth consecutive season working with the Washington Capitals.

The B-Sens did not make the playoffs last season finishing with a 31-38-6-1 record and 69 points.  Binghamton will also be home this month to face Rochester on Saturday, October 22 and Friday, October 28 against the Syracuse Crunch.
