B-Mets Head to Maine
The Binghamton Mets are riding a hot streak as they head to Portland, Maine June 16 a three-game series against the Sea Dogs. Binghamton has now won four consecutive games including a series sweep of the New Britain Rock Cats at NYSEG Stadium over the weekend.
Michael Conforto drove in the game-winner in the bottom of the ninth inning June 14 to give Binghamton a 6-5 walk-off win. He continues his torrid hitting. Currently Conforto is batting .362 with two home runs and 11 runs batted in over 14 Double-A games.
Heading into this series Binghamton is 32-30...three games behind first-place New Britain. The Sea Dogs are 25-38 putting them in last place in the Eastern League's Eastern Division. Airtime is set for 6:45 p.m. June 16. Tim Heiman has the call on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
