Roger Neel

Roger is the Morning Show host on Newsradio 1290 WNBF. In addition Roger serves as Program and Sports Director for WNBF and Program Director for ESPN 1360 AM WYOS. Roger came to WNBF to broadcast pro hockey with the American Hockey League's Broome Dusters and later Binghamton Whalers. He has been WNBF's Program Director since 1986. In addition Roger is the play by play voice of the Binghamton University Bearcats men's basketball team and was the Binghamton Mets Stadium Announcer for 12 seasons.. He graduated from Westminster College with a BA degree in Speech and Broadcasting. At Westminster he was a starting offensive tackle on their 1970 NAIA National Championship football team and was Captain of the baseball team in his Sr. season. Roger was selected for entry into the Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame in 2003 and the Southern Tier Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2010.

Bearcats’ Basketball Showcase A Slam Dunk For Fans

Fans got their first chance to see the 2013-14 editions of the Binghamton Bearcats basketball teams last night at the Events Center.  The BU Basketball Showcase featured scrimmages for both the men's and women's teams, a men's slam dunk contest, a dance-off and an autograph session at the end of the night

Binghamton Chamber Supports Unshackle Upstate

The Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce is standing by efforts by the business advocate Unshackle Upstate to move forward the planned exploration for natural gas in the region.

Unshackle Upstate presented a new plan called ERA (Economic Revitalization Agenda) Upstate calling for a cut in income taxes for upstate residents making less than 50-thousand dollars a year, reducing corporate franchise tax toward eliminating by 2018, lowering the state sales tax and eliminating the energy assessment for manufacturers in the area
