An Indictment is Handed Down in October 23rd Murder in Tioga Center

A Tioga County man is under indictment for murder in the stabbing death of his housemate during an argument in October.

62 year old Douglas Every of Tioga Center has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of murder and evidence tampering.

The self-employed real estate dealer is accused of stabbing 39 year old Milton Jump in the chest with a kitchen knife on October 23^rd at their home on Thorn Hollow Road.

Every pleaded not guilty to murder and is free on $225,000 bail.

A trial date has not yet been set.
