Alleged Fugitive Arrested at Gas Station

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]A Johnson City woman is being held as a fugitive from justice after she was turned in by a Citgo gas station employee who found her asleep in the store on Route 26 in the Town of Maine March 6.

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say 45 year old Paula Winkle lied to authorities in an attempt to hide that she was wanted on four outstanding warrants in Indiana for violation of probation and failure to appear in court.

Winkle was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
