YWCA, Binghamton ENCOREplus coordinator Crystal Lown is on the weekly local public affairs program, Southern Tier Close Up August 16 and talks about the 13th Annual All Paws for a Cause Dog Walk for Breast Cancer Prevention.

The event September 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. is being moved this year from Otsiningo Park to the Vestal Coal House at the Rail Trail in Vestal.

The event features a two-mile dog walk, dozens of vendors and lots of canine contests.

Lown says competitions include a dog/owner look-alike contest, talent showcase highest jump and best costume, among other events.

Lown says money raised at the walk help to fund ENCOREplus programs including free transportation for women to and from screening programs as well as child or adult care to help make sure women have no reason to forego screenings.

Information about the dog walk as well as ENCOREplus programs can be found by calling Lown at (607) 772-0340 ext. 242 or online at www.ywcabinghamton.org and on Facebook at Facebook.com/encoreplusywca.
