Three Syracuse area residents are accused of driving to Broome County to steal baby formula.

Broome Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 24 year old Nichole Phillips, 32 year old Courtney Virginia and 40 year old Raymond Thompson, all of Baldwinsville September 22 following a shoplifting investigation at the Price Chopper on Route 12A in the Town of Chenango.

A search of the trio’s vehicle, which turned out to have been taken without permission, turned up hypodermic needles, narcotics packaging material and a large amount of candy.

Authorities say Thompson is a mechanic and is accused of taking the car belonging to one of his customers without permission.

Investigators say it appears the three had stolen merchandise from other local stores before being caught at the Price Chopper.

All three are charged with petit larceny and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.  Phillips is charged with criminal impersonation while Virginia is additionally charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument.

They were all sent to the Broome County Jail.
