A Construction Worker is Killed on the Job in Tompkins County

A construction worker in the Finger Lakes area is dead after a mobile home collapsed on him May 15.

Tompkins County Sheriff’s officials say the worker was on a crew setting up a foundation for the home on Trefoil Drive in the Town of Newfield when the home collapsed on him at around 3:30 p.m.

Bystanders and first responders pulled the man from the rubble but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s name has not been released by the authorities.
