Another Broome County location is being planned for 7 Brew, a national chain of drive-thru coffee shops.

The next shop is being proposed for a site on Front Street in the town of Chenango.

Keli Oven, a partner in the company that has been granted franchise rights in the Binghamton area, said no definite opening date has been set for the new 7 Brew location.

The site being considered is at 1322 Upper Front Street, between Route 11 and Quinn Road. The drive-thru coffee shop would be built just north of a Lowe's Home Improvement store.

The first 7 Brew shop in the northeastern United States opened last September on Plaza Drive just south of the Vestal Parkway.

Oven is a member of the partnership Brew Family Development LLC that is working to expand 7 Brew operations into New York and Pennsylvania.

She said the company's second drive-thru shop opened near Reading, Pennsylvania last October. Another location is expected to go into operation in York, Pennsylvania by mid to late summer.

The proposed site for the new town of Chenango shop is owned by the Akel family's FGR Realty.

Oven said if there are no unforeseen delays in obtaining local or state government approvals, the Front Street location could open by the end of the year.
