Airport Road Detour in the Town of Chenango

Motorists are advised to make plans for alternate routes for the week if they normally travel Airport Road in the Town of Chenango.

Broome County Highway Department Director Patrick Latting says Airport Road between Poplar Hill road and Patch Road will be closed starting August 10 at 6 a.m. for the replacement of a culvert.

The bridge is expected to reopen at 5 p.m. Friday, August 14, weather permitting.

Detour routes will include Patch Road.  But no trucks are allowed due to the height of the bridge, Poplar Hill Road, River Road and Kattelville Road.
