Construction has started at the site of a planned Binghamton eatery that will feature live music and outdoor decks.

The Stone Fox Bar & Pizza restaurant will be located at 15 Hawley Street, just west of City Hall.

The site previously was occupied by Zona & Co.Grille and Parlor City Pub.

Developer Yaron Kweller said the new restaurant's custom-designed wood-fired pizza oven was delivered recently.

Kweller and several partners have been finalizing plans for The Stone Fox over the last several months. The business will be the the third downtown establishment for the group, which operates The Colonial and Dos Rios Cantina on Court Street.

The new restaurant is expected to have seating for up to 55 people inside. Additional outdoor seating will be available as weather permits.

Kweller expects The Stone Fox will open early next summer. He said about 35 people will be on the restaurant's staff.
