UPDATE: Woman Reported Injured in First Ward Altercation

Binghamton Police are investigating an incident in the First Ward overnight December 27 in which a woman was reportedly injured.

Authorities say the incident may have been a dispute between parties but say it was not a stabbing as had been rumored on some social media posts.

The incident happened on Clinton Street near Oak Street at around 10:45 p.m..

Binghamton Police Detectives say it was a "large neighborhood disturbance" that left the woman with "non-serious" injuries.

The investigation is continuing.  There have been no arrests.
