A pedestrian died after she was struck by a vehicle near a West Endicott church.

Authorities say the 73-year-old Town of Union woman was attempting to cross West Main Street at South Grippen Avenue late Saturday afternoon.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's office, Eileen Seibold of Glendale Drive walked into the path of a westbound vehicle. She landed in the roadway near Our Lady of Good Counsel Church after she was struck.

Seibold was pronounced dead at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City.

No charges had been filed in connection with the incident as of early Monday afternoon.
