Woman Accused of Speeding in Stolen Car

A Binghamton woman is accused of driving a stolen car at a high rate of speed in the Town of Sanford.

New York State Police say they saw 31 year old Anna Rodriguez driving the vehicle at 94 miles an hour on Route 17 shortly after 3 p.m. January 1.

She reportedly sped off when Troopers tried to stop her then crashed a short time later.

She’s charged with drunk driving, unauthorized use of a vehicle, fleeing police, unlawful possession of marijuana and several traffic counts.

She was taken to Wilson Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and released before being sent on to the Broome County Jail.
