New York State Police say 26-year-old John Flora is charged with two felony counts of burglary.

Troopers were called about a burglary at a home on Scouten Hill Road in Windsor in August. The residents reported to the authorities that they had found their house had been broken into and items were missing.

A month later, Troopers were called again to the area for a burglary in progress. A neighbor heard glass breaking and a man was found by Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies near the scene. He was interviewed by troopers but not arrested.

The Bureau of Criminal Investigation has since determined the man located in the area in September was the suspect in both cases.

Flora was sent to the Broome County Correctional Facility for processing.
