A Delaware man is accused of having pounds of marijuana in his vehicle when he was stopped in the Town of Chenango for speeding.

New York State Police say they stopped 21 year old James Togo on Interstate 81 at 12:10 p.m. December 13.  A sweep of Togo’s Volkswagen by a police K9 turned up two pounds of marijuana, a scale, drug paraphernalia, various controlled substances and over $4,000.

Togo is charged with felony criminal possession of marijuana and felony criminal possession of a forged instrument as well as misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance as well as the violation of unlawful possession of marijuana and traffic violations.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail on $5,000 bail.

Togo’s 2012 Volkswagen was impounded.
