William Libous Dies at 90
William Libous, the father of former state Senator Thomas Libous and brother of former Binghamton Mayor Alfred Libous, has died. He was 90.
According to an obituary in the Press & Sun-Bulletin, Libous died on Sunday. His wife, Katherine Libous, died last January. They had been married for 64 years.
Libous served in the United States Air Force during World War Two. He owned and operated a market on Binghamton's North Side with his brother, Alfred.
Later, Libous worked as an accountant for the Binghamton City School District.
A funeral Mass will be offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Binghamton at noon on Friday.
