West Side Binghamton Bank Robbery

City of Binghamton are investigating a broad-daylight robbery of a West Side bank branch.

A large police presence was reported headed west on Main Street shortly after 9 a.m. May 1 and security services sent out an alert advising subscribers of a bank robbery at Main and Crestmont Streets. The bank in that area is the Peoples National Bank.

Transmissions indicated authorities pursuing at least one individual on foot at around 9:20 a.m.

A suspect has reportedly been apprehended but police would not offer any comment on the investigation.
