VIDEO: Bill Parker Honored at WNBF Celebration

The man long known as "The Dean of Broadcasting" in Binghamton was recognized for his decades of service to the region at WNBF Radio's 90th anniversary celebration.

Bill Parker's voice and face have been familiar to thousands of people in the Twin Tiers since he joined WNBF in 1948.

Bill was part of the WNBF radio team that brought television to Binghamton when the city's first station - Channel 12 - went on the air in December 1949.

Over the year's he hosted a series of children's programs, including the TV Ranch Club and the Officer Bill Show. He also hosted music and talk shows on WNBF Radio for many years.

In 2015, Bill was inducted into the New York State Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame.
