A Staten Island man has been accused of bilking a Vestal resident in a driveway paving scheme.

Authorities say 41-year-old Jeremy John has been charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.

Investigators say John is suspected of receiving about $1500 from a Vestal woman for a driveway project that was found to be deficient.

The purported scam is said to have occurred about a month ago.

John was taken into custody in Brooklyn by a fugitive task force.

John was arraigned in Vestal town court. He was sent to Broome County Jail on $10,000 bail.
