A Vestal teen is accused of stealing donations that had been made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

18 year old Katlynn Carangelo had been employed at an Express Mart when the store manager was participating in an MDA lock-up fundraiser.

Broome County Sheriff's officials say staff a the store had been instructed on how to handle donations to the charity.

Sheriff's officials say after donations were discovered missing, surveillance videos were reviewed and Carangelo was reportedly seen taking money form the donation jar on three separate days.

Carangelo is charged with three counts of petit larceny and was fired from her job.

Officials say about $70 had been reported missing form the donations.

Carangelo has been ordered to appear in Town of Union Court at a later date.
