Two Charged With Robbery in Binghamton
Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Binghamton Police say they arrested a Binghamton teen after he ran in front of a marked squad car carrying a handgun.
Police were on routine patrol on Mygatt Street at 8:09 p.m. June 9 when they say they saw 18 year old Salvatore Delegato with a loaded Davis Industries .380 pistol.
He was taken into custody but a second suspect ran off. A police dog and his handler found 22 year old Joheem Hamilton of Brooklyn hiding under a car.
Delegato is charged with felony counts of robbery and criminal possession of a weapon while Hamilton is charged with felony robbery.
Both were sent to the Broome County Jail after Hamilton was treated for a minor injury as a result of the K9 apprehension.
