Invisible Fence says its believed up to 150,000 pets die as a result of fires each year, many due to the effects of smoke inhalation.

An online search for information on pet oxygen masks put prices for just the mask at around $13 while entire oxygen kits, including masks for small and large animals, tubing and other equipment come in at around $75 per kit.

Officials with Invisible Fence say other fire departments interested in the program should contact Invisible Fence at the company’s website.
