Towanda Man Charged with Escape After Running from Courthouse
Authorities in Northeast Pennsylvania say a Sheriff’s Deputy is recovering from a minor injury suffered while apprehending a suspect who bolted from the Bradford County Courthouse.
Pennsylvania State Police say 25 year old David Parker Junior of Towanda was being taken for arraignment at the Courthouse at around 11:45 a.m. October 31 when he got away from a trooper, running from the state police and resisting arrest from a Bradford County Sheriff’s Deputy.
Authorities say Parker fled to the Susquehanna River, about a block from the courthouse in Towanda. He was apprehended by the Trooper and Deputy and is charged with escape.
Police have not said what charge Parker was originally headed to court to be arraigned on.
