Tioga Jail Inmate Accused of Assaulting Officers

A Tioga County Jail inmate is facing additional charges following a reported physical attack on Corrections Officers.

Sheriff’s officials say 23-year-old Devan Steigler of Owego is charged with two felony counts each of assault and attempted assault in the incident last Wednesday in a housing unit in which two officers were injured. 

Bail for Steigler on the new charges was set at $25,000.  He continues to be held in the Tioga County Jail
