Sheriff’s officials say they responded to a crash in the Town of Tompkins on the evening of November 28 and found the driver, 19-year-old Tyler Wood of Sidney Center, had two rifles in the vehicle that he was not supposed to possess.
Wood has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon. He was released on an appearance ticket. He’s been ordered to appear in Town of Tompkins Court at a later date.
Sheriff’s officials did not specify what previous felony charges the teen had been convicted on or if there were any injuries sustained in the one-car crash.
