Binghamton is preparing for Santa’s arrival in the Parlor City for the start of the holiday season.

Several area businesses are getting in the holiday spirit, some even remembering the furry “little ones.”

New York State Assemblywoman and Village officials have announced the inaugural “Holiday Magic on the Avenue” two-day event along Washington Avenue.

Some local cadets with the Civil Air Patrol are giving Santa a helping hand keeping account of just where the Jolly Old Elf is.

The holiday season gets off to a big start November 19 in Downtown Binghamton with the 27th annual Boscov’s Downtown Holiday Parade.
