A new business is preparing to open in a Johnson City building that's been vacant in recent months.

A jury is being seated in Broome County to hear testimony in a case against a Johnson City man accused of possessing over a dozen illegal weapons.

While word has been circulating that Gander Mountain is closing its stores, possibly including one in Johnson City, company officials said through social media that not all outlets are closing.
