The Kopernik Observatory and Science Center is doing something different this week as they partner with the American Red Cross for their first blood drive.
The Red Cross Facebook page notes that when you give blood, you could be helping to save the life of a child, maybe someone who has just been in an accident or someone who is fighting cancer.
If you're healthy and have about half an hour to spare today, you're invited to make a blood donation that could help save the life of a fellow neighbor.
Broome County Account Manager for the American Red Cross, Esperanza Gutierrez is the guest on the weekly, local public affairs program Southern Tier Close Up.
