Suspect Sought in Stabbing at Downtown Binghamton High-Rise
Binghamton police are investigating a stabbing that occurred in a downtown apartment complex.
The incident at Metro Plaza Apartments at 110 Chenango Place was reported around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Binghamton fire medics wheeled a shirtless man from the 15-story building to an ambulance on Henry Street. He appeared to be conscious and alert. He apparently had sustained a wound to the abdomen in the attack. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
A resident of the 150-unit building said she had heard a loud dispute involving a man and a woman shortly before police arrived.
Police were seeking a man who was believed to have been the assailant. He reportedly was seen leaving the building with a woman moments after the stabbing occurred.
