Supply Chain Issues Delay Opening of Binghamton Mirabito Store
The grand opening of the newest Mirabito convenience store has been delayed by a few days.
The store at the Number 5 Commons complex at the Vestal Parkway and Mary Street in Binghamton had been expected to start operations Monday.
But company CEO Joe Mirabito said there have been some supply chain challenges and the opening has been pushed back to next week. Plans now call for the store to open on September 27.
Mirabito said the new location features a design that's "more welcoming" than that of a typical convenience store. He said there'll be plenty of "grab-and-go" items to enable customers to pick up some food and be on their way.
The Mirabito store is located next to a Peoples Security Bank & Trust office that opened last week.
