Stony Brook Too Strong For Bearcats
The Stony Brook Seawolves proved too strong for the Binghamton Bearcats February 21 on Long Island.
The Seawolves outscored Binghamton 32-25 in the second half to defeat the Bearcats 64-52 in America East competition. Stony Brook improves its conferece record to 10-4 while the Bearcats drop to 4-11. The Seawoves have now won 11 straight games against BU.
Romello Walker led the Bearcats in scoring with 1 points while Willie Rodriguez scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Binghamton. The Seawolves were led by a 22 point performance by Roland Nyama. Nyama hit six three-point shots including a five for five showing from beyond the arc in the second half,.
Binghamton never led in the game. The Bearcats held the edge in rebounds 36-32.
The Bearcats only have one regular season game remaining. That will be next Saturday, February 28 when Binghamton hosts UMBC at 2 PM at the Events Center.
