32-year-old Charles Haupt of Owego is charged with felony robbery for allegedly holding up the Speedway gas station and convenience store at knife-point.

Sheriff's Deputies were called to the store on Union Center-Maine Highway in the Town of Union at around quarter of three with a report that a man had entered the store, walked around for a few minutes then displayed a knife and fled with cash and cigarettes.

There were no injuries and authorities quickly provided information and surveillance images to area media and online.

Haupt was sent to the Broome County Jail.
