Southhaven Couple Accused of Drug Possession in Hancock Stop

Delaware County Sheriff’s officials say a Southhaven, New York woman is charged with marijuana possession, criminal possession of a controlled substance, driving while ability impaired by drugs and speeding.. going 80 miles an hour in a 55 miles an hour zone on State Route 17 in Hancock.  40 year old Gloria Prott was also charged with having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle during a traffic stop at 1:27 a.m. September 1.

Her passenger, 49 year old Edward Prott of Southhaven, is also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

Deputies say a quantity of cocaine and marijuana were found in the vehicle during a search.

Gloria Prott was sent to the Delaware County Jail on $2,500 bail while Edward was sent to jail on $1,000 bail.
