
Roadwork Updates: What Drivers Need To Know This Week
Summertime construction work continues throughout the Southern Tier of New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania.
There's ongoing construction on Interstate 86 with lane restrictions both east and west in Tioga County around Apalachin, as well as lane restrictions on Interstate 86 over the Main Street Vestal Bridge, where traffic is limited to one lane heading east.
Here are a few roadwork-related happenings for the week of July 21, 2025:
Broome County Roadways
• Cleaning ditches and rebuilding shoulders on Trim Street, Stratmill Road, Ballyhack Road, South Street, Caldwell Hill Road, and Farm to Market Road
• Paving Killawog Hill Road – County Road 037 from Owen Hill Road to Jennings Creek Road
• Culvert work on Cherry Valley Hill Road, Hyde Street, Hale Eddy Road, and Old State Road
• Mowing right-of-way on several county roads
• Painting on various county roads
Bradford County, Pennsylvania
In Bradford County, Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation notes that a portion of Wyalusing New Albany Road (Route 2010) in Terry and Wyalusing townships will be posted with a permanent, year-round, 10-ton weight restriction beginning Tuesday, July 22, 2025, on Wyalusing New Albany Road between Shaffer’s Notch Road (Route 2011) in Terry Township and Grand Army of Republic Highway (Route 6) in Wyalusing Township.
School buses, emergency vehicles, and local delivery trucks are exempt from the postings.
