
Governor Hochul Boosts Local Arts With Over 63 Million In Grants
On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, over 2,400 grants were announced to support nonprofit arts and culture organizations and individual artists throughout New York State, including the Southern Tier and Central New York regions.
New York State Governor Kathy Hochul announced that a total of over $63 million will be allocated through the New York State Council on the Arts. According to the announcement, earlier, $17 million was awarded, bringing the Fiscal Year 2025 total to $80.9 million.

Southern Tier New York Grant Awards
A release from New York Assembly member Donna Lupardo, the following Southern Tier organizations will be awarded grants:
- Binghamton Philharmonic: $49,500
- Broome County Arts Council: $25,000
- Goodwill Theatre, Inc.: $10,000
- Roberson Museum: $49,500
- Phelps Mansion: $25,000
- Tri-Cities Opera: $25,000
- Truth Pharm: $10,000
- WSKG Public Media: $40,000
- Tri-Cities Opera, Yu Lee: $10,000

New York State arts and culture nonprofits with budgets of $500,000 made up just over 50 percent of the grants. Grant categories include -Support for Organizations, Support for Artists, Targeted Opportunities, and Re-grants and Services.
Governor Hochul notes that through January 13, 2025, the New York State Council on the Arts is now accepting applications for the $80 million Arts Capital Projects Fund. For more details, visit the NYSCA website.
