Snow Delays Opening at State-Run Johnson City Vaccination Site
Some appointments at the Covid-19 mass vaccination site in Johnson City will be rescheduled because of the snowstorm.
The state-operated facility will open with a delayed start on Tuesday. Officials announced that the site now is scheduled to open at 10 a.m. It normally starts operating at 8 a.m.
Other state-run mass vaccination sites in Syracuse, Utica, Rochester, Albany, Potsdam and Plattsburgh also will open two hours later than usual on Tuesday morning.
People who were scheduled for early-morning appointments will be rescheduled for later in the day. Those affected by the delayed start will receive an email or text message with a new appointment time.
Downstate mass vaccination sites will be closed Tuesday because of the expected heavier snow accumulations in that region.
