It all comes down to this week for the Binghamton Mets and Richmond Flying Squirrels.  The two division champions begin the Eastern League Championship Series in Richmond at 6:35 tonight.  Like the Division Championship Series this is a best-of-five series.  Games one and two are set for The Diamond in Richmond. The series then moves to Binghamton for game three Friday night at 7:05 and if needed game four on Saturday night at 7:05 and game five on Sunday at 6:05.

Tyler Pill gets the start for the B-Mets tonight while Clayton Blackburn will counter for the Flying Squirrels.  Pill has had plenty of success against Richmond this season. In two previous starts over 15 innings Pill has held the Flying Squirrels scoreless and struck out 17 batters.  Richmond hit just .170 versus Pill this season.

Blackburn made one start against Binghamton in the regular season.  That came on the last day of the regular season.  He threw six innings and allowed just a pair of runs and three hits.

Binghamton looks for its third Eastern League Championship.  The B-Mets won titles in 1992 and in 1994.  Binghamton has not been in the final series since the 1994 win.  Airtime for both tonight and tomorrow night is 6:20 PM with Tim Heiman on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
