New York State is reporting the fewest number of hospitalizations due to COVID-19 since the start of the coronavirus pandemic in March of last year.  Much of that success is being placed on the number of New Yorkers getting the COVID vaccine over recent weeks.

Broome has a number of clinics set up to help stop the spread of COVID-19 as work continues to drive down the infections.

July 1st the Johnson & Johnson one-dose will be available at Schneider’s Market in Kirkwood and at Trucks on the Tracks food truck market at the train station on Lewis Street in Binghamton.  The Moderna shot first dose will be available at the Broome County Health Department. Go to gobroomecounty.com for information and to make an appointment.

Next week, the J&J vaccines will also be available July 7 at Windy Hill Candle Factory at 5201 Route 79 in Port Crane from 2:30 to 5 p.m. and on July 8 from 2:30 to 5 at Lone Maple Farms at 2001 Hawleyton Road in the Town of Binghamton.

In Chenango County, the Moderna vaccine first dose will be available for walk-ins at the former Label Shopper in the South Plaza in Norwich June 29 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The J&J single-dose will be available before Bike Night July 14 outside Seebers Tavern in Greene. That walk-in vaccination event will take place from 3 to 6 p.m.
