Several Hurt, House Hit in Binghamton West Side Car Crash
Two cars collided with one slamming into the porch of a house in a Binghamton neighborhood, leaving several people injured.
The grinding crash happened at the intersection of Leroy and Chapin streets around 2:40 p.m. Thursday.
Initial reports indicated five people were transported to hospitals from the scene.
A BMW and a Honda were involved in the collision. The BMW was wedged into a house on the southeast corner of the intersection.
Medics were performing CPR on one of those injured as a result of the crash. Police and fire vehicles, along with several ambulances filled the streets near the scene.
The driver of one of the vehicles reportedly fled the scene.
A New York State Police crash reconstruction unit was called to assist Binghamton detectives in the investigation.
