A Binghamton man will be spending 18 years in prison for killing another Binghamton man outside an after-hours club in the City in April.

27 year old Jihad Ray pleaded guilty to manslaughter for the April 22nd shooting of 22 year old Brandon Hernandez following an argument at the bar on Orton Avenue.

Officials have called the killing senseless without a real motive.  Broome County District Attorney Steven Cornwell says a “stupid petty argument” turned into a fight with the cold blooded gunning down of a man.

Ray was a former member of the MacBaller’s gang, associated with the Bloods gang.

The illegal after-hours club has been shut down under the City of Binghamton’s lock-down law.
