The Binghamton Bearcats were looking to pick-up a road win on the opening day of the America East schedule but Stony Brook came alive in the second half to win 64-58.  The Bearcats led the Seawolves 51-42 after three periods.  However, the Seawolves owned the final period outscoring Binghamton 22-7 to earn the win.

Imani Watkins hit for a game-high 27 points.  Binghamton's standout sophomore also added seven rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals.  Another sophomore, Alyssa James, scored 13 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked three shots.

The Seawolves up their overall record to 9-5 while Binghamton falls to 5-9.  The Bearcats return home to host the New Hampshire Wildcats on Saturday, January 9th at 4:00 p.m. (air at 3:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
