Many individuals have limited or no finances at the beginning of a new employment position and may not be able to afford the initial costs of transportation back and forth to work.

The program works with each individual to put together a plan going forward to be able to independently get to their jobs on their own finances.

According to the News release each individual participant will receive up to $500 in transportation assistance, in the form of private rides, volunteer drivers, gas cards, and bus passes, as they build earnings from their wages to afford transportation.

GetThere will also work with employers and agencies to provide training and outreach within the program, and reach the goal to expand the labor pool and increase attendance, saving businesses time and resources.
