Fans of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies can look forward to the team's home opener in less than three months.

The team is preparing to host the Altoona Curve on May 11, according to the 2021 season schedule released Thursday.

The Rumble Ponies are expected to compete in a 120-game season. The season opener will be May 4 on the road when the team is to take on the RubberDucks in Akron, Ohio.

All home stands will be six games long. They'll start on Tuesdays and conclude on Sundays.

The Rumble Ponies will participate in the newly-structured Double-A Northeast league.

Although the schedule of 60 home and 60 away games has been released, game times have not been announced.

Team officials say they expect to operate with a limited capacity at NYSEG Stadium in downtown Binghamton.

Season tickets and flex booklets are now available. People can contact the Rumble Ponies at (607) 722-3866 for information.

The Rumble Ponies last played in Binghamton in September 2019. The 2020 season was canceled because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
