Rock Against Suicide in Friendsville, Pennsylvania

The Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier is looking to use the power of music to raise awareness of anti-suicide resources and the need to reach out to others who are having difficulties.

The 2^nd annual Rock Against Suicide will be held at the Choconut Inn in Friendsville, Pennsylvania July 25 from 6 p.m. to midnight with four bands scheduled to play with speakers talking between sets.

The speakers will present personal stories of recovery, battling stigma and the realities of life when one has been diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder.

Admission is $10 with the money going to support MHAST’s educational programs on suicide prevention and recovery.
