Another major Broome County multiplex movie theater is making plans to resume business more than a year after closing its doors because of Covid-19.

Regal Binghamton Cinemas at 900 Upper Front Street in the town of Dickinson is scheduled to reopen on May 14.

Regal is gradually reopening its operations across the country with some theaters set to open on April 2.

According to the Regal Theatres website, reopening dates at certain locations "may shift depending on their unique circumstances."

Company representatives could not be reached to comment on the why the Broome County site is not among the first scheduled to resume operations.

AMC Vestal Town Square 9 reopened on March 5. Other locally-owned movie theaters in Endicott and Owego also resumed operating early this month.
