One of two brothers accused in a daytime drive-by shooting on Murray Street, Binghamton May 23 is admitting reckless action.

27 year old Miguel Erazo-Pica has pleaded guilty to felony reckless endangerment in connection with the shots being fired from a Sport Utility Vehicle toward a house where several people, including children were on the porch.  He and his brother, 29 year old Jeffrey Gabriel Sanchez-Pica were both charged with attempted murder.

Police responded to the report of up to a half dozen shots being fired in the neighborhood.

No one was hurt but a vehicle was reportedly hit by gunfire.

At the time, Binghamton Mayor Richard David said it was believed the shooting was not random and had been in retaliation for an earlier incident.

The younger brother is free on conditional release to get his affairs in order. He is to be sentenced in October.

Sanchez-Pica’s case is pending.
