Pot Hearing in Binghamton
Members of the New York State Assembly are holding a meeting in Binghamton to hear from the community about proposals to legalize, regulate and tax adult use of marijuana.
This is the third of four statewide hearings and will look at the potential impact of implementation of legislation that would legalize recreational marijuana in the state.
Some of the issues that have come up include the economic impact, production, sales and regulation, health concerns and criminal justice.
The hearing takes place at 10:30 a.m. November 20 in the Binghamton City Council Chambers.
