Police: Man Tried To Sell Hash To Drug Cops
Authorities say a shoeless man tried to sell hashish to a couple of detectives in a Binghamton restaurant parking lot.
Investigators say 30-year-old Brian Fitzgerald of Endicott wound up being charged with criminal sale of marijuana.
According to police, two Broome County special investigations unit task force members were leaving a Main Street restaurant after a lunch break when Fitzgerald approached them in the parking lot.
Police say Fitzgerald - who wasn't wearing shoes - asked the detectives for directions before offering to sell them hashish.
The detectives discovered Fitzgerald had a plastic jar containing hash, so they arrested him. He was issued an appearance ticket for Binghamton city court.
