Police: Driver Stopped in Kirkwood Had 38 Suspensions

Authorities say a driver who was pulled over for speeding on Interstate 81 near Binghamton had 38 active license suspensions.

State police say a trooper stopped the New York City man in the Town of Kirkwood just before 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

Officials say 29-year-old Edwin Williams of Queens was arrested after he was observed traveling northbound on the highway at 80 miles per hour.

Williams was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding. He was arraigned in Kirkwood town court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
